“Having Meaningful Conversations during Performance Evaluations”

    Presented by:

Michelle Gnida, Area Manager/Master Trainer for Dale Carnegie Training

During this presentation MVHRA Members will learn: how an effective performance review can be an opportunity for honest, open conversation about positive and negative results.  It can inspire and engage people when it is focused on plans for the future.  Michelle will discuss how to have a meaningful conversation during the appraisal process that will help employees create their own achievable targets by asking the right questions. Members will also learn how to help their staff to feel encouraged, inspired and ready to exceed expectations through this process rather than a dreaded annual event.

At the conclusion of this presentation attendees will be able to understand & apply the following:

    • Be a more effective HR Professional by generating trust and engagement
    • Identify the “dos” and “don’ts” for an effective performance conversation
    • Keep your evaluations focused on facts and outcomes
