    During this presentation MVHRA Members will: gain an understanding of the most commonly diagnosed mental health disorders and how to identify signs of mental health challenges within their workforce. Attendees will be provided with the resources and tools needed for HR Professionals to effectively assist in handling the symptoms of these diagnoses and other stress related mental health issues.

    At the conclusion of this presentation attendees will be able to understand & apply the following:

    • How to identify signs of mental health challenges in the workplace
    • The tools and resources needed to cope with mental health concerns in the workplace
    • How to appropriately and effectively communicate mental health concerns about a staff member

    Speaker’s Background & Experience

    Ashley Lee LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker) has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work. She has been providing therapy to children and families for seven years in many different settings including out-patient, residential, and schools. Ashley has experience is a wide range of Mental Health Diagnoses including anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder. She has supervised several intern students throughout her career and currently supervises 4 other therapists who are working towards their independent licensure in social work. Currently, at Young House, Ashley provides individual and family therapy to children at Sunnyside and Black Hawk Elementary Schools in Burlington and Danville School District. The therapists that Ashley supervises provide therapy in the other Burlington schools as well as Fort Madison, New London, and West Burlington.
