Welcome to the Mississippi Valley Human Resources Association

Welcome to Mississippi Valley Human Resource Association, a SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) affiliated chapter. Formerly known as Mississippi Valley Personnel Association and the Keokuk Personnel Forum, MVHRA became affiliated with SHRM on September 10, 1976. MVHRA membership is open to all individuals with an interest in Human Resources. Our membership covers the southeastern portion of Iowa and western portion of Illinois.

The goal of MVHRA is to provide educational and networking opportunities for both members and non-members in the human resource field. We encourage HR professionals to consider the advantages of becoming SHRM members and challenge HR professionals to take advantage of the opportunities provided by both MVHRA and SHRM. In partnership with Southeastern Community College, we encourage professional certification in the field of Human Resources.

DURING COVID, WE HAVE BEEN HOLDING MEETINGS VIA ZOOM.

Monthly meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of the month at Great River Medical Center, Blackhawk Room (lower level of Rehab Center) 11:30am-1pm. For some meetings, we anticipate we may need to use an alternate location, so please check the meeting schedule for any updates. The upcoming meeting schedule is posted on the Meetings page. We welcome suggestions and ideas for speakers, topics and website updates.

Please explore our site to learn more about our chapter and its activities.
