    During this presentation MVHRA Members will learn: how to conduct successful meetings to effectively communicate with employees; aiding in employee retention. Mrs. Prochazka will also provide tools on how to effectively communicate as a strategic business partner in meeting’s with both internal and external business partners in order to align HR goals with business goals. She will also discuss the importance of regularly scheduled meetings and the effects on employee retention.

    At the conclusion of this presentation attendees will be able to:

    • Resolve employee/personnel conflicts that arise during meetings
    • Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners in meetings
    • Continue to play a more strategic business partner role in meetings
    • Recognize that employees will stay in an environment where regular and effective communication is practiced

    Speaker’s Background & Experience

    Sue Prochazka has over 30 years of experience in human services as a nonprofit executive director, trainer and consultant.  She is currently the Volunteer Center Coordinator at the United Way of the Great River Region.  In addition to her work with United Way, she also provides training and coaching in organizational and professional development at Southeastern Community College Center for Business. In partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health, she provides training on topics related to domestic abuse.
