During this presentation MVHRA Members will learn: about topics pertinent to the OSHA revised requirements for reporting workplace injuries and established protection for employees reporting injuries. Also being covered will be the employer requirements of posting OSHA logs electronically, requirements to inform employees of their right to report work related injuries and the increased emphasis on employers regarding not retaliating against employees who report work injuries/illnesses.
At the conclusion of this presentation attendees will be able to understand
& apply the following:
- OSHA’s revised requirements for reporting workplace injuries
- OSHA’s newly established additional protection for employees reporting injuries
- Employer requirements pertaining to the posting of OSHA logs electronically
- Employer requirements to inform employees of their right to report work related
- The reasons behind OSHA’s emphasis regarding employers not retaliating against employees who report work injuries/illnesses
- The legal consequences facing employers who do not properly implement OSHA’s guidelines and revisions.
Speaker’s Background & Experience
Jeff is the owner of Falcon Safety Group and holds an Associate’s Degree from Carl Sandburg College. He holds a certification as a Certified Safety Manger with the National Association of Safety Professionals. He is certified as an Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in leadership, including work as a corporate safety director, human resource director and corporate lead trainer with fortune 200 companies. Jeff’s unique blend of experience and education has led him to help companies save millions of dollars over the years by instituting proven best safety practices that helped shape attitudes, behaviors and cultures.
Doug brings 30 years of human resources experience at Compaq, HON Industries and Guardian Industries. His human resources experience includes a variety of different specialties, including training, employee relations, compensation planning, recruiting, talent development, strategic planning, leading change, performance management and group facilitation. Doug also spent several years in operations management, including leading production operations at a 350-person manufacturing organization.
