    Presentation Title: “Inclusive Hiring Practices”

Presented by: Mollie Frideres-Smith, founder of MFS Consulting

Presentation Overview: Talent no longer solely means the expertise and skills necessary to complete a job effectively. It also refers to a diverse array of experiences, viewpoints, and backgrounds. Evidence from academic institutions, federal and state agencies, consulting firms, think tanks, and employment services companies prove that more diverse organizations show increased profitability and better decision-making. Traditional sourcing and recruitment practices are insufficient and organizations that continue to lack diversity in their candidate pools must reevaluate their avenues for identifying and engaging with talent. An inclusive recruitment strategy considers different backgrounds, experiences, opinions, and values to build diverse teams in which innovation and healthy conflict will flourish. Continual employee engagement provides a sustained workplace dynamic that stimulates creativity, dedication, and motivation. Providing equal opportunities for this continued engagement is paramount for an organization's diversity and inclusion efforts to be successful.

This program will help participants set effective strategies and initiatives that will:

    • Set clear targets informed by real data
    • Develop programs to support members of underrepresented groups
    • Receive support from leaders who want credible, tangible, and sustainable change to occur at the organization
    • Foster a sense of belonging among all employees
