Dr. Kaskie will discuss the Age-Inclusive Management Strategies (AIMS) Iowa Project. He will share the success of this project in Colorado as well. He will discuss trends in the current Iowa labor force and the growing aging population. He will then talk about various age-inclusive management strategies.

You will learn how to register as a first generation AIMS Iowa employer and the impact AIMS Iowa may have on your organization. You will learn to recognize how age demographic trends affect the labor force, integrate age into your equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts, and understand the unique opportunities presented by older workers and identify best practices for recruitment and retention.

Dr. Kaskie completed his doctoral training from the University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology Center, and recently served as an APSA Congressional Fellow, assigned to the Majority Staff of the Senate Aging Committee. While there, he conducted an investigation of the critical role that employers play in shaping the lives of aging Americans. He has examined how employers support aging workers in California, Colorado, and Iowa. He will present on the increase in the aging population and the importance of recruitment and retaining older workers in the labor force.
