“Workplace Wellness Strategies”
Presented by: Kay Sackville Breuer, Vice President of the Greater Burlington Partnership & Jamie Dengler, Coordinator of Health & Wellness at Great River Business Health
During this presentation Ms. Breuer and Ms. Dengler will discuss the employment outlook for the Greater Burlington area as well as share Des Moines County Health Statistics as it’s connected to our Greater Burlington Zip Codes. In October 2017, a group of employers came together to learn about Healthy Hometown and workplace strategies to Eat Well. Move More. Feel Better. Ms. Breuer and Ms. Dengler will share Healthy Hometown best practices, resources as well as identify employer’s current initiatives and outcomes.
Growing evidence indicates that one’s health influenced not only by genetics and biology, but also social factors such as access to housing, employment, healthy foods, health care services, quality education, safe spaces and more.
In today’s presentation, you will learn about:
- Considerations for annual programming
- Changes to the built environment to grow interest and participation
- Workplace wellness strategies to take back to your organizations to begin immediately
