“Ethics in the Workplace”

Ethics in the Workplace - This interactive class will explore five commonly asked, but difficult to answer questions about ethics in the workplace. Rita will present four case studies involving ethic decisions in business settings for participants to analyze.  

Following this training, participants will be able to:

1. Define Ethics
2. List three ethics models and describe how they might be used in Human Resources
3. Define all of the options using a defined process
4. Test ethical decision before making a decision
5. Use a process to evaluate and reflect on decision

Speaker’s Background & Experience:

Rita has over 25 years of experience in human resource management and is currently the President and CEO of the Employers Network, a private, not-for-profit employers association located in Spartanburg, SC. She has extensive human resources experience in manufacturing. Rita is a graduate of Spartanburg Community College and the University of South Carolina Upstate. She was named Human Resource Manager of the year in Spartanburg County in 2005, and in York/Mecklenburg Counties in 2011. She has been involved with SHRM as a local leader, state leader, and foundation volunteer for over 20 years.
