Presentation Title: “Assessing Changes Made and Anticipated to the HR Landscape During the First Term of the Biden Presidency”

Presentation Overview: Mr. Stanley will be sharing his thoughts and assessment of the President Biden administration at the mid-terms and its effects on Department of Labor policy and practices. Specifically, he will delve into the administration’s changes as it relates to wage and hour laws, minimum wage laws, discrimination and retaliation guidance, labor relations and union campaign rules, employment law, and harassment in the workplace. He will discuss the successes and challenges faced by the administration, and what to expect over Biden’s remaining first term. He will then lead an interactive discussion with the audience to answer any questions, as well as seek input from others to share with the broader group.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Assess changes made in the HR landscape by the Biden administration in the past 18 months
- Anticipate changes in federal government policy and practice expended from his remaining first term
- Proactively apply those changes in the workplace to ensure compliance and avoid adverse legal impact
Speaker’s Background & Experience:
Jeffrey Stanley currently serves as CEO and Principal Consultant for HR & People Strategies, LLC, an organization focused on helping companies and leaders address their most difficult human resources challenges. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative/HR Officer at Wells Enterprises/Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Inc. for nine years before leaving the company in 2017. Mr. Stanley brings more than thirty years of leadership and functional experience serving in multiple capacities in Fortune 500 companies, with specific expertise in organization capability and effectiveness, executive coaching, talent management, labor relations, total rewards, and mergers/acquisitions.
A Chicago native, he received his B.S. in Organization Leadership and Production Management from Purdue University, and his MBA from Indiana University. He started his career with Cummins Engine, moved up through the ranks at Frito-Lay, Monsanto Chemical, and Ralston Purina, then joined General Electric where he served as HR Leader for the Americas Aircraft Component Repair business. While at GE, he also worked in Mergers and Acquisitions and served as a functional business leader for the Honeywell Due Diligence and Acquisition Team. He then served as Americas HR VP for Uniqema, an intermediate chemicals business under the Imperial Chemicals Industries umbrella. Prior to joining Wells, Mr. Stanley worked as the SVP, Human Resources for Pepsi and National Brand Beverages, which exclusively distributes Pepsi and Canada Dry products within the US Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Corridor.
