    Iowa Workers’ Compensation Law –Strategies for Minimizing Risk

    Terri Davis will be discussing the laws and regulations that govern workers’ compensation in Iowa. The presentation will address standards for determining compensability and steps that employers need to take when presented with a claimed work injury.  Benefits, leave, light duty and return to work issues will also be discussed.

    MVHRA attendees will learn how to conduct a proper investigation of a work injury, and to identify potential issues related to workers compensation claims.  The presentation will also explore areas of risk and strategies for minimizing risk in workers compensation claims, as well as important considerations related to leave, light duty and return to work.

    Terri Davis, Esq. is a Senior Vice President at Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, PLC, and is the Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group. She is a frequent presenter on workers compensation topics in Iowa.
