    “Strategic Planning: What is HR’s Role?”

    Presented by: Joy Donald, Strategic Advisor

    Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) – IA State University

    During this presentation, Ms. Donald will review a standard model for strategic plan development and implementation. She will also facilitate group discussion about HR’s critical role in the strategic planning process.

    The learning objectives of Ms. Donald’s presentation include:

    • Understanding the strategic planning process
    • How to provide critical influence as an HR professional to increase the effectiveness of your organization’s strategic plan development.
    • Understanding HR’s role in the implementation of successful organizational strategies.

    Joy Donald has more than 13 years of experience developing strategic plans in the manufacturing, publishing and higher education sectors. She holds certification as a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and an MBA focused on Organizational Development & Strategy from the University of Iowa.
